Clicker Training Turnout Transformation! | Athena’s Spring Pasture Debut

This behind-the-scenes clip from Moose Ridge Farm shows Alexandra Mackenzie Doan of Dressage Clicks demonstrating positive-reinforcement groundwork during turnout.

Athena, a spirited Arabian boarded at the farm, arrived in Fall 2024 with plenty of energy to spare. After a winter break from pasture because of icy footing, she was re-introduced to her spring field.

Alexandra uses targeting, patient pauses, and click-treat-reward cues to keep Athena attentive and relaxed—despite distractions such as another horse on the road. The result is a safer, calmer release and a confident mare who happily trots off to show her springtime moves.

Ideal for anyone curious about clicker training, horse-friendly turnout routines, and relationship-based horsemanship.
