Terms & Legal Policies
Welcome to Moose Ridge Farm. This page contains the terms and policies that apply to use of our website, participation in Moose Ridge Farm programs, purchases of digital products and services, and other interactions with Moose Ridge Farm.
By accessing or using this website, registering for a program, or purchasing a product or service, you agree to the applicable terms and policies described herein.
-
By accessing or using this website, you agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
You may not disrupt or interfere with the operation or security of the website; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, accounts, systems, or data; misuse, copy, or exploit website content in violation of these terms; or use the website in a manner that infringes the rights of Moose Ridge Farm or any other person.
Moose Ridge Farm may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the website at its discretion.
-
For purposes of the following policies, the term “Program” means a Moose Ridge Farm clinic, workshop, camp, event or class.
Enrollment in Moose Ridge Farm Programs is intentionally limited to small groups. Each registration reserves a space that may otherwise have been offered to another participant or family.
Please review this policy carefully before registering.
Participant or Family Cancellations
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email.
60 or more days before the first day of the Program:
Payments will be refunded, less a $50 administrative fee.30–59 days before the first day of the Program:
A refund of 50% of the amount paid will be issued.Fewer than 30 days before the first day of the Program:
Payments are nonrefundable. When a cancellation is made fewer than 30 days before the Program begins, Moose Ridge Farm may issue a refund if the participant’s space is successfully filled from a waiting list. Any refund issued under these circumstances will be reduced by a $50 administrative fee.
Transfers to Another Program
Requests to transfer a registration to another available Moose Ridge Farm Program may be made at least 30 days before the original Program start date.
Transfers are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Registration payments may not be transferred to another individual or family without prior approval from Moose Ridge Farm.
Illness, Injury & Missed Days
Refunds, credits, or prorated tuition are not provided for individual days missed because of illness, injury, family plans, transportation difficulties, homesickness, late arrival, early departure, or other personal circumstances.
Please do not attend or send a participant who is ill, has a fever, is vomiting, has diarrhea, or may have a contagious condition.
In the case of a documented serious illness or injury that prevents participation in the entire Program, Moose Ridge Farm may, at its discretion, offer a transfer or partial credit when scheduling and available space allow.
Weather & Farm Conditions
Many Moose Ridge Farm Programs take place outdoors and will generally continue during light rain and other typical weather conditions.
Activities may be modified, moved to sheltered areas, rescheduled when feasible, or otherwise adjusted because of heat, rain, air quality, footing, animal needs, or other farm or weather conditions.
If a Program must close for part of a day or for a single day because of severe weather, unsafe conditions, a power outage, or another circumstance beyond our reasonable control, refunds are not guaranteed. When reasonably possible, Moose Ridge Farm may offer a make-up activity or alternative arrangement.
Cancellation by Moose Ridge Farm
Moose Ridge Farm reserves the right to cancel a Program because of insufficient enrollment, instructor illness, unsafe conditions, an emergency, or another circumstance that prevents the Program from operating safely or appropriately.
If Moose Ridge Farm cancels an entire Program, participants may choose one of the following:
Transfer to another available Moose Ridge Farm Program;
Receive a credit toward a future Moose Ridge Farm Program; or
Receive a full refund of the Program tuition paid.
Moose Ridge Farm is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by participants or their families, including travel, lodging, childcare, clothing, equipment, or supplies.
Participant Safety & Conduct
The safety and welfare of participants, staff, visitors, and animals are important to Moose Ridge Farm.
Moose Ridge Farm may dismiss a participant whose behavior creates a safety concern, repeatedly disrupts the group, harms or threatens animals or property, or otherwise prevents staff from safely operating the Program.
Whenever reasonably possible, staff will communicate with the participant and, when applicable, the participant’s parent or legal guardian before dismissal.
Refunds are not provided when a participant is dismissed because of unsafe or seriously disruptive behavior.
Agreement to Program Policies
By completing registration and submitting payment, the participant—or the participant’s parent or legal guardian when applicable—confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the applicable Program Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Questions regarding Program cancellations may be directed to Alexandra Mackenzie Doan at 207-322-8958.
