Pioneer Camp 2026 | Girls Day Camp in Maine
Pioneer Camp at Moose Ridge Farm is a small, immersive summer day camp for girls ages 9 to 12. With only 6 to 8 campers per week, this program offers a thoughtful, hands-on experience rooted in nature, traditional skills, and gentle horsemanship.
Campers come dressed in pioneer clothing and spend their days outdoors exploring fields and woods, tending gardens, working with our kind horses, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, sewing, crafting, and learning timeless handwork skills.
Led by Alexandra Mackenzie Doan, owner of Moose Ridge Farm and celebrating over 20 years of farm-based education, Pioneer Camp blends art, gardening, horses, and campfire cooking in a peaceful Midcoast Maine setting.
Each week centers around a unique theme while maintaining the core rhythm of farm life and outdoor learning.
