Experience a magical weekend of horsemanship on Islesboro with Certified ARICP Dressage Instructor Alexandra Mackenzie Doan. This hands-on Click, Treat, Reward clinic takes place at Pripet Farm, a beautiful barn overlooking the bay. Over this two-day retreat, you will explore humane, science-based methods to strengthen trust and communication with your horse.

📍 Location: Pripet Farm, Islesboro, Maine (20-minute ferry ride from the mainland)
The clinic combines:
Targeting Games – The foundation of positive reinforcement training
Reverse Roundpen Work – On and off-lead exercises for connection and focus
Dressage Under Saddle – Integrating groundwork with riding for better responsiveness and balance
Who Can Join:
Intermediate & Above Riders – Hands-on riding & groundwork experience
Participating Auditors – Join all sessions, participate in groundwork, and observe under-saddle work
Schedule & Timing
Friday, August 22: Arrival for participants bringing their own horses (includes stall and care)
Saturday & Sunday, Aug 23–24:
8:45 AM – Arrival for Islesboro residents (sign waiver & make payment)
9:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Clinic sessions (groundwork, roundpen, under-saddle)
4:05 PM – Departure for day participants catching the 4:30 PM ferry
Travel & Ferry Information
Ferry Ride: 20 minutes from the mainland
Walk-on Fee: $17 round trip
Day Participants:
Take the 8:00 AM ferry to Islesboro
Return on the 4:30 PM ferry (shuttle available to/from the farm)
Overnight Option: Extend your stay with local VRBO or AirBnB options on Islesboro
Trailer Reservations: Required for anyone bringing a horse; 1 shared trailer space available on Friday (contact Alexandra for details)

Riders:
$250 to Alexandra (Venmo due upon sign-up)
$100 to Pripet Farm (due on arrival)
Participating Auditors:
$150 to Alexandra (Venmo due upon sign-up)
$50 to Pripet Farm (due on arrival)
Bring Your Own Horse (Friday–Sunday):
$200 to Pripet Farm (includes hay, shavings, stall cleaning & feeding—bring your own grain)
Farm Rules & Info
Waiver & Payment: Fill out the release & waiver form upon arrival and submit your Pripet payment.
Rider Safety: Helmets and proper attire required when mounted.
Farm Operations: Pripet staff will be doing daily chores—please enjoy, relax, and have fun!
Horse Care (for overnight guests):
Stall includes hay, shavings, and cleaning by Pripet staff
Bring your own grain/supplements in labeled baggies or buckets
Provide a simple list with feeding times and any special instructions
Horses must remain on lead at all times for safety
