Join us at Moose Ridge Farm for a week of Pioneer activities, nature-inspired art, and horse time with Certified Riding Instructor and art educator Alexandra Mackenzie Doan.

Designed for kids ages 9–13, Pioneer Camp offers a screen-free, hands-on experience rooted in creativity, connection, and old-fashioned fun. Campers are encouraged to come dressed in bonnets and suspenders as we embrace the spirit of simpler times.

Activities include:

• Cooking over the fire pit

• Gardening and nature walks

• Gentle horse time (no riding)

• Pioneer-themed art and handwork projects

Art sessions explore a variety of traditional and natural materials, with rotating projects such as:

• Pottery

• Wool roving felting

• Crochet & embroidery

• Handmade dolls

• Drawing & painting with natural inspiration

Set on a peaceful Midcoast Maine farm, this unique day camp blends creativity, outdoor play, and meaningful connection in a rustic, welcoming environment.
